ContechCloud

Privacy Policy

Who we are

ContechCloud is operated by Contech Group (ABN 44 678 604 610), Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. This policy explains what we hold, where it lives, and who can reach it.

What isolation does and does not mean

Your firm’s data is stored in a database created solely for your account. It is not shared with, visible to, or queryable by any other customer — that separation is the point of the product and we test it.

It is not zero-knowledge. Your database is hosted in infrastructure we administer, so our operators hold credentials capable of reaching it. We access customer data only to operate, secure, support, or repair the service, or where the law requires it. If you need a provider who is technically incapable of reading your data, ContechCloud is not that product today, and we would rather say so than imply otherwise.

What we collect

Where it is stored

You choose a region when you subscribe and your database is created there. We do not move it afterwards without telling you. Control-plane records — your account, which instance belongs to you — are stored in Sydney, Australia.

Sub-processors

AI assistants you connect (for example Claude) receive the data returned by the tools you authorise. We do not choose or control those platforms and their handling of that data is governed by their own terms. We do not use your rate data to train AI models.

Retention and deletion

Your rate data lives only in your isolated database. Download an export from the dashboard before cancelling. When the subscription ends, that database is permanently deleted; we do not copy or retain your rate rows in the shared control database and cannot recover them afterwards. You may request deletion earlier at any time.

Your rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information, and may complain about how we handled it. Contact contact@contechdata.com. If you are not satisfied with our response you may complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.

Security

Connections are encrypted in transit. Access credentials for your database are encrypted at rest, and the credential used to serve your requests is restricted to your data only — it cannot read other customers’ instances or our fleet records. No system is perfectly secure, and we will notify affected customers of an eligible data breach as required by Australian law.
